The Industry Marketing Manager (A&D) plays a key role within the global marketing team, helping to distill Aras Innovator core benefits and differentiators into A&D-specific messaging and go to market strategies with global coordination and local execution.  This position will help us leverage our existing A&D presence in companies like Airbus, Kawasaki, Saab, Leonardo, GE Aviation and BAE Systems by building out industry-specific content, advising on strategy and driving engagement into OEMs and suppliers on a global basis.


What you’ll do

  • Proactively stay in tune with the challenges and changes occurring within the A&D industry and be the go-to subject matter expert on industry strategy
  • Develop strong points of view that position Aras as a solution enabler and promote them in white papers, presentations, news articles, etc.
  • Utilize your personal network to get the Aras message to the right people in the industry
  • Be the face of Aras at industry events – ideally as a keynote presenter or panel chair
  • Work with the marketing team to develop specific plans, positioning, strategies and multi-channel marketing programs
  • Identify target A&D publications and work with the marketing team to place articles
  • Work closely with the marketing team to engage the customer community in activities such as case studies, speaking opportunities, articles and other activities
  • Identify appropriate industry events, conferences and trade shows and work with the marketing team to support an Aras presence
  • Develop and maintain a solid understanding of the various A&D industry associations and groups and engage as appropriate
  • Periodically attend relevant industry events to maintain A&D knowledge and awareness of industry trends
  • Serve as a conduit for industry trends, current events, and other noteworthy items that would empower the community team to have more meaningful and strategic discussions with prospects
  • Monitor competitor capabilities and activities and be ready to exploit opportunistically


What you need

  • Deep knowledge resulting from 10+ years’ experience of the A&D industry
  • Extensive contacts within the A&D industry and surrounding ecosystem
  • Working knowledge of A&D media, conferences and associations
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within a B2B enterprise software environment, PLM, ERP or SCM preferred
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following would be beneficial: systems engineering (inc. MBSE), 3D visualization, embedded software, configuration and BoM management, change control, product quality, IoT
  • Hands-on messaging, positioning, project management and problem solving experience
  • Ability to create attractive and compelling presentations with above average presentation skills and experience of speaking at large external events
  • Exceptional writing skills and the ability to produce different types of materials including web content, white papers, etc. quickly
  • Down-to-earth interpersonal skills with ability to make connections and collaborate
  • High level of energy, enthusiasm, initiative and responsibility
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, ideally in an engineering, or scientific discipline
  • Additional qualifications a plus
  • Fluency in English - written and spoken; other languages a plus
